App said the item was in stock at my local store. Drove 40 minutes. Store staff said the inventory system is 'often wrong' and shrugged. The item shows in stock right now, on the same store page. $965 of gas wasted plus an hour I won't get back.

    I had to escalate to my state's consumer-protection bureau before they responded. Worked though.

    Don't accept their store credit — push for a real refund. They will pay it eventually.
